  • NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT LAWS ACROSS EUROPE
There are still significant differences between national employment laws across Europe, despite the European Union’s attempts to achieve greater harmonization. Recognizing the need for Human Resources management and in-house counsel to quickly access basic information on the various local employment laws across Europe, the Alliance prepared this collection of short summaries of the key issues facing companies with employees in countries across Europe and beyond. The short summaries address immigration, the need for employment contracts, whether collective agreements and works councils significantly impact an employer’s flexibility, working time rules, minimum wage, holiday entitlement and rules governing the termination of employment in 21 countries.
