Castegnaro Cabinet d’Avocats is the Luxembourg member of ius laboris. The firm was launched by Guy Castegnaro, a founding member of the alliance.
Castegnaro Cabinet d’Avocats is an employment law niche firm in Luxembourg and advises on all employment, labor, pensions and employee benefits law issues.
The team of expert employment lawyers currently consists of 6 lawyers who, between them, are fluent in Luxembourgish, English, German, French and Italian.
The team is experienced in establishing procedures regarding transfer of undertakings, collective dismissals, in preparing collective bargaining agreements and social plans, in restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, as well as in establishing pension and share option schemes. They can also advise clients on labor and social security litigation and may represent clients before all Luxembourg Courts as well as the European court of Justice.
The lawyers of Castegnaro Cabinet d’Avocats participate in numerous conferences on employment law topics and also teach employment as well as social security law. They publish articles and law books and are regularly interviewed by the Luxembourg press. The Luxembourgish Labour Ministry also put them in charge of establishing the new Luxembourg Labour Code.
Guy Castegnaro is the founder of Castegnaro Cabinet d’Avocats. He joined the Luxembourg bar in 1994. After having practiced for many years as an employment law specialist in several Luxembourg law firms, Guy Castegnaro decided in 2004 to create his own law firm and to structure his legal practice with a clear focus on employment law to respond to the growing demand of a national and international clientele for a comprehensive array of services in both counsel and litigation. Guy Castegnaro is a founding member of ius laboris - Member of the Board and vice-president of the I.E.S. (Institut Européen des Juristes en Droit Social) – Founding member and member of the Board of the E.E.L.A. (European Employment Lawyers Association) – Member of the “Association Henri Capitant des Amis de la Culture Juridique Française” – Founding member and member of the Board of E.L.S.A. (Employment Law Specialists Association, Luxembourg) – Member of the I.B.A. (International Bar Association).
Guy Castegnaro is the author of various law books and articles on Luxembourg employment law. He is speaking at numerous conferences and is teaching social security law at the University of Luxembourg.
