..................................................................................................................................................................................In September 2006 the Slovak branch of PRK Partners, formerly Procházka Randl Kubr, the leading Prague-based law firm, joined the Ius Laboris alliance.
The Slovak branch office, of the Czech firm PRK Partners, was established in 2005; however, PRK Partners had been advising on Slovak employment law matters on a regular basis prior to this date. PRK Partners is based in Bratislava and, in addition to its employment law practice, the branch has also established a commercial law practice focusing on corporate M&As, banking and corporate real estate. This opens the door to co-operation and the sharing of clients between the firm's teams. As a result of the firm’s merger with Hungarian law firm BELLAK & PARTNERS in fall 2008, PRK Partners expanded its range of legal services provided to multinational clients based in Central Europe.
PRK Partners' clients include major banks and commercial, industrial and service corporations headquartered especially in the Czech Republic and Western Europe. Three lawyers comprise PRK Partners' employment law team. Two are young Slovak lawyers who have both been university lecturers in law (employment and European law) for several years. The team is led by Jaroslav Škubal, admitted in Slovakia as an EU Attorney. He is based in Prague and travels to Bratislava for meetings and/or larger projects. As the firm's practice grows PRK Partners will also look to hire other specialists in employment law.
All lawyers working in the employment law team are exclusively specialised in employment law. They are able to provide our clients with comprehensive legal services for all Slovak employment law matters, including pension insurance and employee benefits, collective bargaining and human-resources counselling.
The employment law team is experienced in advising on the preparation of agreements for staff as well as top managers, transfers of undertakings and related procedures, individual and collective dismissals and personal data protection. Furthermore, the team provides clients with general assistance on all employment-law related matters.
After the accession of the Slovak Republic to the European Union in May 2004, PRK Partners also started to focus in-depth on EU labour legislation and EU case law, which is a very new area for Slovak employers. As a result information on this area is in high demand.
The employment law team regularly offers its clients free information services, including employment law updates, which are issued every two months in Slovak and English versions, and regular seminars on new subjects in employment law or other issues requested by clients. In addition, members of the employment department often publish their articles in law journals on various employment topics.
PRK Partners' employment law team advises its clients in English and Slovak.

I am very impressed by the quick and efficient responses that I have received from Ius Laboris firms. It is reassuring to know that my business is important to these firms and that the alliance really works.
