Employee Compensation and Benefits
The Ius Laboris Employee Compensation and Benefits international team covers all legal issues affecting employee and executive remuneration, incentives and benefits. The cross-border group focuses on global services related to compensation and benefits, from the implementation of steady individual benefits up to customised multinational stock-based incentive plans, often working closely with our experts in pensions and global mobility.
In 2010, the practice published a guide on the main aspects of compensation and benefits across 24 countries. It also covers relevant tax and social security measures, with a view to providing employers with a comprehensive overview of each jurisdiction’s legal standing on salary and holiday pay, and including an analysis of how income tax and social security contributions are calculated. The guide also addresses benefits in kind, payments due upon termination, stock options, tax and social security.
In Summer 2012, the IPG launched a publication on Restrictions on Executive Pay. This guide gives an overview of law and guidance following the credit crunch. It covers the rules of the various jurisdictions and those of two overarching organisations involved in economic policy: the EU and the G20.
