Occupational Health and Safety
The newest of our International Practice Groups, the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team brings together leaders in their field from across the Alliance. Members advise corporations, management, directors and officers on strategic issues and representation, in an era of unprecedented OHS obligations and enforcement aimed at improving workplace safety and minimising corporate and personal OHS risk.
IPG members provide assistance with OHS legislative compliance audits, give advice to assist in managing risks when workplace accidents occur, advise and provide representation in relation to worker claims arising from accidents, provide representation in criminal and other OHS prosecutions, advise on worker discipline for safety, and advise on bullying, violence and harassment issues and prevention programmes.
Our members are available to provide local advice as specialised practitioners, and to provide coordinated assistance to multinational organisations on issues that cross jurisdictions, such as global accident response strategies and global workplace violence prevention strategies.
